Hohoho~ I've gone nowhere but I did travel to the western most part of my country few months back for my brother's wedding. Seems like I could access this site....usually....I ended up getting this network time out error. North..ehh....so... since it has been a long time since the last time I heard your adventures....tell about your adventures up north, compadre. Uhhh...by the way which part is it?

It's up in The Greater Ocqueoc Metropolitan Area where I wish I still was. See my previous posts and pictures about it in the Picture Book thread. If you were to imagine the Lower Peninsula of Michigan as a left hand, Ocqueoc would be about on the lower left part of the index fingernail.

I don't think I mentioned it here but early in October I damaged a tendon in my leg and spent most of the month wheelchair bound. Just about the time I was beginning to walk again a my friend called and begged me to go up north with him for a week. I relented and figured that I would spend most of the time sitting around the cabin.

We were rewarded with a week of Indian Summer with temps in the 70's and 80's and fall colors better than I have seen in decades. My friend walked me all over the woods to visit our favorite spots. Each time we got back to the car my legs would be sore as hell and all I wanted to do is sit for the rest of the day. Then we'd be off to the next spot. He kept saying, "Think of it as physical therapy." I'll be damned if it didn't work that way. By the time I got home I could pretty much walk normally.

So Dread, do you have any pictures you took of the western part of your country? I'd love to see them. Remember, your neck of the woods is pretty exotic to most of us here.
