Because you chasing something wouldn't be scary? Was that a trick question or something? _________________

But there's a lot of nightmare formats. I mean like why being chased as opposed to having some terminal illness, or those scary scenes in Dostoyevsky's nightmares, or something else that's anxiety provoking (well I do remember having school related nightmares about missing project deadlines).
Being chased seems to be one of those themes that come up repeatedly. When I was younger there was a dream about a car chase, but I didn't actually drive at the time I was too young. I think I drove better in my dream than in real life.
Even younger still I remember this one nightmare that I was walking through some dark tunnel, it seemed like a large underground pipeline and I could hear my footsteps echoing. Then I heard something odd. The echoes didn't correspond to my own footsteps, there was someone else behind me. That really freaked me out. Then it got faster indicating that whatever was behind me was speeding up. It chased me. I'm pretty sure that it was some scary looking monster thing.
Oh has anyone had those dreams where you knew that you were dreaming while you were in the dream? |

Maybe you're afraid of something. Maybe you're running from something in your life. Maybe you just watch too many movies about people running from things. Maybe you just had these particular dreams at random several time and since a pattern was emerging your subconscious just ran with it. I don't know, I'm not Freud.
I can't remember my last nightmare. It was terrifying though. I think mine usually involve helplessness and bad things happening to people I care about. Also, repetition. _________________ PARTY TIME. |

No nightmares for the pass few months, my last nightmare was nothing horrific but...well...to actually die in a duel with a faceless swordsman...it troubles me when I don't know the man who killed me. I woke up immediately, sweating...either way, I remember someone else watching us exchanging blows and slashes, a girl...and it was dark at that time...night? Heck....it was fun until I actually received a mortal wound right across my chest. DAMMIT!!! WHO THE HECK KILLED ME???!!! WAS IT YOU MONGOOSE??? Oh~ You're a ninja type kind of guy. Haaa~ Right after that dream, there were no other dreams like that. Kussooo.... _________________ The mark of my divinity shalt scar thy DNA. |

I had a strange dream lately... I was living in Britian, and it was rainy. I was trying to go somewhere... a Halloween party, I think... no, I was going somewhere else, and then I realised it was Halloween and my costume was back home. Anyway, I went through various places. A rainy city, a school at night, a sunny aquatic amusement park, all connected and integrated, all within a short time, and all really complex and big. Not big as in giant, but big as in expansive. It was like being lost in a maze. Bizarre. _________________ PARTY TIME. |

My dreams, if I remember them at all, are almost always pleasant and amusing. _________________

you wouldnt probably remember your dreams unless they were too terrifying or something like that...
There was this one nightmare Id always remember. It was about me playing with a cute puppy in a hotel. Then it went dark and the doors of the hotel were shut tight. ANd the cute dog turned into something like a zombie dog from resident evil. It bit my arm. I kept on punching and kicking its head until it finally let go. I managed to bust through the closed doors, ran towards the streets and crossed the REALLY high anti-jaywalking fences. And just when I though I lost it, it managed to jump over the fence towards me! I woke up and was sweating heavily,, _________________ ... |

i get this repeated theme of losing my teeth
the dreams are usually different
but it's odd to be losing teeth
first it's just loose and wiggling
then the teeth fall out one by one
i wonder what it means
if anything at all
but teeth of all things ...
it's just odd |

I've had a couple dreams that involved teeth falling out. I agree, it's strange. _________________ "You left me for a TREE!?"

Oh, mine were just a couple. Still weird. They fell out in my parents' meadow and I just left them there and wandered away. _________________ "You left me for a TREE!?"

I have a dream, and in that dream I'm naked." - French Stewart
Last night I dreamed that I was in London and had been selected to give a speech in place of the Queen. Apparently, this is done all the time since the Queen is so busy. It was quite an honor especially since I was the first American ever chosen to do this. I was inside a big fancy stone building where I was to speak shortly on the front steps. I was wearing a very nice if a bit old fashioned dress complete with the funny hat. I didn't get to give the speech though, because I woke up whereupon I laughed my ass off. =0D _________________

I think that's a sign that you're getting old. But really, they still do that in castles these days? |
