Speaking of good old comedies, have you seen Time Bandits? It's one of my faves.

Nope, never heard of that. But if you reccomend it I'll take a look. Meanwhile I'm getting sick of some anime movies...I wish they'd stop trying to squeeze money out of a certain series....geebus even the Garden of Sinners were much better compared to silly Bleach and Naruto movies.

Awaiting arrival of the Eureka 7 movie RAW...and hopes Evangelion 2.0 reaches here sooner.

I'll make this short. Transformers 2: Did you hate the first one for it constant assault on your intelligence with its crass humor and loud explosions and silly robot antics? Too bad. That was only warming up. This movie is stupid. But the best kind of stupid. It gets down and wallows and rolls around in the stupidity and keeps poring on the stupidity until you can't believe what your seeing. Tailor made for those with unchecked ADD: "This plot point doesn't make sense but never mind that ROBOT EXPLOSION SWORD FIGHT ZOMG!!!" In short, if you hated the first one don't even bother. If you liked the first one and are prepared to see stupidity to the max, go. Also to keep this "on topic" this was a more entertaining 2 & 1/2 hours than the whole time I tried to watch Gundam: 00. Good golly.

You're not supposed to watch Gundam 00, the first season was made for Gundam fans. The second season was kinda an epic FAIL, besides having a good Opening song.

Meanwhile....ZOMGWTFBBQ....really....Transformers 2 is that much of mindless entertainment? I suppose I'm waiting for a DVD rip then.

Yeah. Basically it was really dumb. There was enough robot battle to entertain me, but thats the only draw. Its one of those movies the more you think about the more it falls apart. I questioning going through the trouble of seeing it in imax. This is the most serious post I've made.

ALSO RACISM. I dunno about this. I'll admit it soured my "stupid but fun" view of the movie.

I just want to add Speed Racer did a better job of taking a 20 minute cartoon and extrapolating it into a live action movie. Hell, the writers at Cartoon Network wrote a 30 minute cartoon with more humor and character development than a group of people with 100 times the budget and the help of the greatest FX company in the business. Ok I'm done honest. I just hate it when a director kicks me in the nads and takes my 10 bux.

I know, I got that evil trailer from a link at 8-Bit Theater. Its looks...well....it's like overkilling a B-rate movie. I'm gonna watch it.

I liked Transformers 2 much more than the first one. Not that it was by any means good, I wouldn't even say it was better, but it spent less time on plot and more time on giant robots fighting and on that grounds alone I was able to have more fun. But yes, still a terrible movie.

As for Robo Geisha... why are the buildings bleeding?

It was thoroughly entertaining. Eye candy. Served it's purpose.

Stranger things have happened. Iron Man was good. The Dark Knight was excellent and Watchmen had unexpected depth to it. I liked the first Transformers movie well enough.
