At the highest levels it's so complex they still can't code a computer to beat a human (unlike chess), simply because of all the possible sequences and moves that are possible.
But, having said that, I do think it's fun if I'm playing someone at the beginner level like I am. | Did you watch Chihayafuru from the last season? It's about another very old Japanese game. _________________

Here's my little monkey
Very strange personality. When you first meet him he immediately decides if he likes you or hates you right away. If he likes you he's affectionate as heck, if he hates you he'll hiss and swipe his paw at you as you walk by. Holds grudges like you wouldn't believe. Me thinks he was abused growing up, since he was very defensive and angry all the time, but using my cat whisperer abilities I was able to tame him. He doesn't dare attack me now.
I can't stand how whiny he is, and when you pet him he starts drooling all over the place. But, being the animal softy I am, I put up with him. Like you said, he's a beautiful cat, amazing coat, but with an angsty emo teenager trapped in a cat body. _________________ nodes aka GTBaka

That's amazing, nodes. Your monkey looks exactly like a house cat. I wonder if it would like me? _________________

Used to have 20 cats 2 decades ago until my father decided that we can't possibly handle them all. So we gave some to friends and family members. And now....we have 4 cats. Apparently, I am allergic to cat's fur.=___= I never suffer from one when I was younger! _________________ The mark of my divinity shalt scar thy DNA. |

Take heart, Dread. When I was younger I was also never bothered by cats. Then, when I was about 24, I became very allergic. If I just petted a cat for a couple of strokes I would be sniffling and sneezing for at least 24 hours afterward. Now I'm back to not having any problems again. _________________

He's so cuuuuuuuuute!!!
And a lot of animal related issues aren't the fur, it's the dander. Keeping them brushed and getting an air filter/purifier can do wonders to help keep the reaction down.
Kyo and I just got back from the vet. He gained over a pound in the last month! He's almost 5lbs now, which makes me worry just how big he'll be when he grows up, seeing as he's just 4 months old now. I get to spend my afternoon watching him start to feel very bad from being poked/prodded/injected and otherwise violated in his best interest.
Oddly enough, I'm kind of looking forward to a night of not being lacerated or punctured in the name of kittenhood. _________________ This is not a signature.™ |

If it's not in the name of kittenhood, what will you be lacerated and punctured for? _________________

Well it's usually been because I got something pierced.
Strangely though, perhaps because he got so much bigger, he really didn't suffer any ill effects. He was up and around all afternoon and night and never seemed to feel bad at all, which is good.
Since they trimmed his nails (the primary source of the problem) it's really been much better, though he's been spending a lot of time at his scratching post, honing them back to "die human" sharpness ;_; _________________ This is not a signature.™ |

Oh dear god, that's Kyo.
Last night, I take my headset off so I can take the trash out. I'm emptying out the trashcan when I see him batting at the cord, to which I hiss at him, right?
I get back to my desk to find out he actually BIT IT IN HALF. I was so pissed, considering they were $40 when I bought them. I really wish that wireless headsets weren't so costly. I have a suspicion, though, that it will save me money in the long run to invest in them.
I'd try to repair the others, but he bit it right next to the volume/mute control so there's no way I can just split it open and twist them back together.
I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo mad. _________________ This is not a signature.™ |

A friend of mine had the same problem with his dog until he learned not to leave them on his bed. After buying only four new sets of headphones his dog has now trained him to leave them on his dresser. That might not work as well with a cat, though. _________________

I recently broke down and got myself a cell phone. I have always disliked phones, but I really hate this thing. I used to say that the fact that when I left home my phone had to stay there, was a feature not a bug. I'd tell people who tried to sell me one that they first had to come up with a reason why I needed to lug a phone around with me.
Anyway, today the cell phone company asked me to do a customer satisfaction survey. There was a space for my comments at the end. Here's what I had to say:
"I'm slowly, but slowly figuring the thing out. The instruction booklet that came with it gave extremely inadequate instructions in 12 different languages. Everything about this phone from the instructions to the voice mail seems to assume that I am very proficient and fast with cell phones. It took me a week to figure out how to send a text that didn't just use the first letter associated with each number.
"Every time I try to use the voice mail it waits two seconds and, while I'm trying to unlock the thing to respond, it says, "Are you still there? Why don't you try again later?" Then it hangs up on me and deducts a couple of minutes from my account.
"The browser is equally useless. It just spends a minute looking for a connection, fails to find one and deducts a few more minutes from my account.
"I'm surprised I haven't thrown the thing against a wall yet." _________________
