So now you can stick it next to your Transformers "Fu Lu Shou" on the shelf! _________________ In the absence of anything else |

That's awesome, jjjynx. How long did you say it took you to build it? How tall is it?
When are you going to get the 1:1 scale kit?

The models should be as big the original, or the original should be model-sized. Either would be amusing. _________________ In the absence of anything else |

Ack! Where'd you find that picture!?
And my MG model is 1/100, which is around 2 cans of coke tall.
I'm now thinking of how I can get Ubisoft and Activision to try and create an arcade Armored Core Series that plays like the Gundam in the Cockpit machine. That would be awesome. |

I posted the link twice. There's video, too.

You know they have arcade versions of BattleTech where each player sits in his own cockpit.

Oh, but Battle Tech, like Gundam, is a tad slow for Robots action.
When I refer to Armored Core, I was, infact, referring to Graphics and speed of Armored Core 4 Answer. Of course it'd be even better if they were to bring the Graphics even higher up another notch, but that'd probably affect gameplay.
Meanwhile, imagine, Armored Cored is known for it's ability to customize a machine to your fancy in Either Speed, Power, Melee, Ranged, Defence and such.
They could come up with a Memory card system like what they've been doing, and sell parts in the stores, then there'd be an Arcade Mode where people can test out their machines and another group of Competitive mode like the Gundam Pods where people fight each other in teams. There'd be clans, tactics, Terrain Strategies, Missiles an Lasers flying all over you while you speed around terrains at Mach 1 or more speed. It's possible only because Cores usually run around using wheels and boosters, instead of walking around like 1st Gen Gundams.
I'll think more into it, I'd like to describe more, like controls and such but I just got Ghostbusters from the stores ^^

Armored Core: Silent Line was the best. Next to Last Raven anyway. _________________

I went to the Detroit Autorama last month and took a few hundred pictures. Here's one of a 1963 Mustang Prototype:
Not a great picture but it's typical of what I was getting - not too sharp. Some were better, most were worse. I'd had it with going picture taking and ending up with a pile of crappy pictures. I'd asked around and the consensus of the experts was that my camera was wearing out and it should be replaced. Damn! I didn't know that was going to be a problem.
So being flush with rent money I'm not paying recently, I got myself a Cannon Power Shot SX150 IS. I love this thing.
Meh. Not very good. However, that picture was taken at full digital zoom (12x) - hand held! I could never do that with the old one.
That fine visage of a truly handsome man was taken indoors, no flash, hand held by this kid:
I also like that it has a flip up flash so that the camera can't randomly decide to turn on the flash for me. That drove me nuts with the old one.
The only drawbacks I've noticed so far is that it doesn't have a viewfinder and that it has almost instantly made me lazy about how mindful I am to hold it steady, unless I'm using the zoom which I'm doing a lot more than I used to. So the pictures I'm getting haven't really improved a lot. I can't wait to go out with a tripod. _________________

Here are some pics I took on my trip last week. The first day I was there the sun shown brightly but intermittently, Little did I know that that was going to be one of the best weather days for the trip.
I took a few pictures around the cabin. From the back porch:
From the bridge (you can just see it through the bushes in the above pic.):
Then I spent the next week at a friend's house in St. Ignace. On the day I went home, I went picture taking again. This is from a roadside park on a cliff just a few miles West of St. Ignace:
We have bridges.
Another roadside park just East of Cheboygan:

Did some stuff this year.
Walked the Mackinac Bridge. (Look! It's me!)
It's me again on top of the Copper Peak ski jump.
Walked around on Crazy Horse's arm.
Went to Mount Rushmore but it was their day off.
Saw a buffalo round up.
Back to Copper Peak. After you take the chair lift to the top of the hill, you take this eighteen story elevator up and then it's only eight more flights of stairs to the top of the lift.
