the new DOA movie is soon to come out. more American action with half-naked drop-dead gorgeous ladies kicking ass while avoiding to get their nipples exposed to appeal to a much wider audience.
although i'm tempted to say: "Hey! This should be a good watch," i can't shake the feeling that this may turn out as corny as Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (i almost barfed watching this).
and i ask you, oh people of CB Front regading from the teaser trailer: is it hot or is it not?...

I saw that trailer ages ago. It looks absolutely terrible. I mean, sure, I never thought Dead or Alive could be a good movie, but it manages to be even worse than I'd have expected.

Anyways, I stick to my old comment, yes I'll watch it, just so to see how close they'd come in comparison to the Gen Fuu and Leon of the game, it must have a really lame story I suppose, without epsilon project and such...but why not? If I can get to see an old man in tiger striped clothes puoncing on baddies. |

DOA should be done the same way FFVII AC was done. CGI.

| I suppose so, and the same goes for any other movies that'll involve WarCraft, StarCraft, Soul Calibur and Tekken...though I'd hate to see a Tekken movie...it's have such a stupid plot |

Despite how good-looking Advent Children was, for most of these movies I'd rather see live action than CG. But I'd rather see it done well, which is what nobody's managed to do.
Most fighting games have pretty bad plots. They're just excuses for a bunch of people to beat each other up. Even the ones that are decent would hard to change into a movie. Then again the Mortal Kombat movie was enjoyable, but I doubt anyone watched that movie expecting anything deep.
There was an animated Tekken movie, which I've heard isn't very good. I'd like to see a live action one just to watch a cyborg samurai fighting a bear.

one thing to remember about fighting games ... there is no straight storyline/plot ... that is why there are sequels that relates back to the first game ..if not, its just a game for people who likes to bash..

Thank Goodness Guilty Gear had a pretty good storyline.
The other fighting game plot I enjoyed would be Garou, Mark of the wolves. |

SNK was pretty good at having story lines/character stories for their games. That's one of the things I liked about them. |

Yeah I think Ive seen the Tekken Animation before and it sucked!!! I can't imagine how they conceive a plot for DoA... But well, theres no harm in watching it...
