Anyone Have Original Characters?

Besides me that is, I know D and Dread do. Just wondering... I say we should get together as artists and make like a group portrait of all of us AG refugees or something with our characters lol.... or you can tell me yours and I'll try to draw it myself, though I know Dread's probably alot further along than me.

I'm not completely sure that I understand, by character do you mean favorite anime character? Or do you mean that we are drawing an animated character version of ourselves? Or doing some kind of grafting of ourselves with our favorite anime character?

In the picture book, when I posted my artwork.

He was a character design I created for a novel I was writing back in '99. He was based on Cloud from FFVII. Mostly because he rides a Silver Indian (Bike) and fights with a sword.

When I first made it, most of my friend girls thought it was a self-portrait.

His name was Jerry Ministry, family all killed (typical Anime revenge plot). He was attending attending a Flying Academy, which taught all sorts of advanced flight training for futuristic aircraft, including Gigantic Airships. The only thing is the look of technology has a 40's/50's feel to it. Think Last Exile.

Anyway, before graduating, he pilots an airplane that looks like a Cessna which can rotate it's rotors to hover, as a final exam. The plane fails, and he and his co pilot are about to crash. I forget how, but his partner gets unconscious, and to his dismay, there is only one parachute. So he puts it on his partner, throws him out, and sets the parachute on auto release (I guess they have the technology).

Meanwhile he waits til the lowest altitude possible to jump out of the airplane into the sea. It's still guaranteed death, but he jumps anyway. He survives and makes it back somehow.

After being examined by the doctor, he learns that he's a rare specimen who is superhuman. I think I called them 'Samurai' or something. There are actually a number in the world, just that the general population is unaware of their existence.

His partner happened to die, and a friend blames him. So before awaiting the decision to expel him or not, he takes off in the middle of the night and leaves behind his education. On his silver indian, sword strapped to back, he leaves through some back gate, of which the friend awaits him. They duel, and Jerry kicks his ass and leaves.

He gets to a diner, where he's eating. A really pretty waitress who looks like Rachel Leigh Cook, serves him. I forget how, but she's done with work, and he's outside sitting on his bike, and then they get into an argument, which turns into a fight. She ends up throwing a fireball at him out of anger, which burns his leather jacket. He's unharmed to her surprise, and he's pissed about the jacket. So she offers to pay him for it, if she gives him a ride to her house.

And so begins this journey, where it'll eventually lead to Jerry piloting all these flightcraft, battling other superhuman 'ronin' or whatver.

The premise is the ability to manipulate physics. What makes the samurai powerful is there ability to do things by controlling physical formulas. Like generating kinetic energy to throw fireballs, and then changing vector quantities on force.

The ronin' on the other hand are more powerful since they, break the laws of physics.

Cheesy, I know, but it was fun writing at the time. Too bad, like all my novels, I never finish them.

Interesting. I like the idea of the physics of magic. I wouldn't allow the breaking of the laws of physics because that breaks the universe and allows a lazy author to do whatever suits him. Maybe the laws of physics could be seriously bent or new laws could be applied, but they can never be broken without triggering Ragnarök.

Wow I like physics and magic combinations^^ it means people think about what they do... all the annoying batched timetravel shows make me scream... they don't know what an alternate universe/parallel universe and an alternate reality are ;

I meant like a version of you or an character you made! ^^

How does he look like? ^^

I'll mooch tips for CG-ing from as many people as I can (probably Dread since he's an art major that's more experienced than myself) then try to start drawing all the people I remember that still keep in touch with me.

I have an endless amount XD though Sorra was always my main character on AG so I'd have to use her... and Sean too I guess

But I like them all. The first three girls don't have names though.

Maybe I'll design another one just for this.

Lennie probably looks the most like me, she's the only Asian of the bunch, although when my hair was dyed the first un-named girl looked the most like me.
