Genesis 1

29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

Notice: absolutely no mentioning of eating meat.
It wasn't until after the fall of man that eating animals were mentioned.

Speaking of the Bible, my favorite book of the Bible is Eclesiastes. It was the first book of the Bible that really vibed with me.

we eat animals because we too are govern by the laws of nature. "The Survival of the Fittest!" Just like how a predator will die when he runs out of prey, we continually seek for all ways to increase our food supply! hehe.
