No it wasn't deserted, just that I don't have so much time after work nowadays...I'm working on my E.S, A.G.W.S and A.M.W.S as they come. |

ah! don't worry. you've done quite a lot already and i couldn't bring myself to ask anymore from you with regards to the map. i was just thinking there might be more people here who would be interested... _________________ <-- Now Defunct |

Well, it all depends if anyone else has Warcraft III and some spare time.
This reminds me, Timmy's ultimate move is really buggy. At some points he doesn't move or do anything, and at other points he starts acting beyond the player's control. I had to quit that game because of it. It's a shame because it's a neat idea. And while I understand wanting to use the child voice-set, it's a little boring as it doesn't have any attack or move quotes. |

We could try putting some Midi into it...but it doesn't seem that simple, since I never really tried before. |

really? i better check that. the only thing i really triggered on Little Timmy was the vertex coloring and the death animation. will look on this more, thanks.
as for the sound, actually i kinda gave up hope. yeh i like the child voice set but, yeh it's boring. oh well, maybe i should trigger a sound when ever he gets commanded? will try it out.
UPDATE: version 2 is close to release. i changed the name of the map. i'll just have to finish testing all the heroes (again). so far 1/3 are finished. thanks guy! oh and check the credits, your names are in there. i forgot to tell you... _________________ <-- Now Defunct |

I know, that was the first thing I looked on while I first played it
"Always read instructions."
But I laughed when I saw Deathmistress on it. |

heheh! glad you liked it. i'll give the two of you a special mention in the second release. my map is hungry for feedbacks and so far only the 2 of you have responded.
anyway, Timmy's ultimate is fixed. i just inputted wrong values on the Object Editor (silly me ). i also fixed the sound but i just attached it on timmy whenever he gets commanded so i guess even the enemy can hear his voice. oh well. i'll think about it more...
PS: for my appreciation, here are some little secrets in the map:
look for any destructible doodads near shops like crates. make sure you're close to it when you destroy it.
type "hellhathnofury" at the beginning.
anyone found the secret shops yet? behind the fountains? _________________ <-- Now Defunct |

Remove the Merchant coins, they're too DANGEROUS for shoppers with chicks. |

whoa! you actually found the Merchant's Coin? that only has 1% probability of dropping. how many times have you played it? and uh, what do you mean "chicks"?... _________________ <-- Now Defunct |

Interesting...I found it the 1st time, and the 2nd time I went killing neutral creeps...and when I said chicks, I meant chiken, animal courier, or whatever we call it. |

Grin perhaps you should try playing WarCraft once in a while...although I don't reccommend long term play, it stills gets boring after you find out that everyone playing it is only interested in DotA. I can't even find a decent training partner online anymore....sigh...
And although I'm saying this, I still, would rather you try Dawn of War...seeing chaos is more amusing than strategy. |

I really liked Warcraft I & II and strategy games in general, but I don't have WCIII or DotA. _________________

Warcraft III is good fun. Particularly the map editor since you can do so much with it. But I am in agreement with jjj about it being annoying how everyone plays DotA. There's better custom maps out there, and even the real game is still pretty fun.
I like Dawn of War because of the focus of capturing points on the map. Dark Crusade is coming out soon and its a standalone expansion so it should be a good point to buy the game, even if you can only play two races online without the original versions. |
