I haven't seen anything posted on this here. I must have missed it. This isn't new, but it is to me and I can't imagine that no one here has posted about it.

Anyway, GITS SAC: Solid State Society is the latest movie in the Ghost In The Shell series. It has already aired in Japan and is due to be released in the States on July third.

Quote:
Story
A.D. 2034. It has been two years since Motoko Kusanagi left Section 9. Togusa is now the new leader of the team, that has considerably increased its appointed personnel. The expanded new Section 9 confronts a rash of complicated incidents, and investigations reveal that an ultra-wizard hacker named the Puppeteer is behind the entire series of events.

In the midst of all, Batou, who was stalking the case on a separate track, encounters Motoko. She goes away after saying, "Stay away from the Solid State Society." Batou is left with a doubt in his mind. Could Motoko be the the Puppeteer?

The series of intriguing incidents that Section 9 faces gradually link together almost artistically. Who is the Puppeteer? What will happen to Batou's relationship with Motoko? What is the full truth behind this carefully planned perfect crime? And what will the outcome be? Mysteries surround the Solid State Society...[There isn't any more from this source.]

Japanese Trailor
It looks just as waesome as anything that has come before.

What tipped me off was this interview with Yoko Kanno about it via ANN.

Other than Bleach and some reruns, there isn't any good anime on tv anymore. You should be downloading Death Note at least.

Well see it then. It's almost as awesome as Bebop. It's also very linear, so don't just start watching it wherever AS is with it or you'll never figure out what is going on.

Oh no no no no no... I'm not talking about TV. God no. I think the only thing we have here is Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King, in dub form. I'm talking about just watching it on video sites. Although that does only work for popular and not completely new series.

It's very, very good. I haven't finished it yet though. Or seen the second gig. But yeah, it's a good show.

Now I wish I had saved that gif of Batou punching himself.

You can get a good sub from Box Torrents. You have to be a member there to search for anything. Otherwise you have to go through their whole long list of torrents, so I searched for you:

http://boxtorrents.com/details.php?id=129691

They have a limit in their membership so they don't always take new members. So if anyone wants me to do a search for them, just ask.

Hey what's the chronological way to watch GIS? Besides the first movie which I haven't seen in like 5 years, I've put off watching this thing. Plus I get to test out my new toy.
